Echoes of Service: A Juried Exhibition of Veteran's Art

“Echoes of Service” is a juried art exhibition celebrating the creativity, resilience and unique perspectives of U.S. military Veterans. Hosted by Art Source Gallery in cooperation with the partnership with the Boise VA Medical Center and featuring military artists from the Idaho VA Veterans’ Creative Arts Collective. The exhibition showcases the artwork of Idaho’s military veterans using  the power of art as a tool for expression, healing and connection. The exhibit offers the public an opportunity to experience the diverse voices and stories of those who have served in the United States military services.

"Exhibitions like "Echoes of Service" provide opportunities for Veterans to experience validation and find a new sense of purpose through their identity within the greater arts community," said Patricia Mazul, art therapist at the Boise VA Medical Center and creator of the Collective.  "As exhibiting artists, Veterans self-advocate and educate the public of their experiences while taking ownership of their own perspective.  I have been an Art Therapist for almost 30 years, and I am still continuously in awe of the healing impact of the arts."

Hosted by Art Source Gallery in partnership with the Idaho VA Veterans’ Creative Arts Collective, “Echoes of Service” will be on view at the gallery from Feb. 2 through Feb. 28, 2026. There is no entry fee.

A public opening reception and recognition ceremony will be held on First Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, 5:00-9:00 PM, 1516 Grove St. (in Boise’s Linen District). The community is invited to engage with Veterans and their artwork across a wide range of two- and three-dimensional media.
