Oil Painting Artist

In the early 90's I got one of those kicks in the butt. The, 'it's time to rediscover yourself lady,' ones. So, after a long period of not creating, I began again.

I went back to school, loving the exploration of subject matter, never much worried about a direction. My favorites became photography, writing, and painting. So that is what I became... a photographer, a writer, an artist.

I've had art works in local galleries for over ten years. I've won awards and sold paintings to people from all over the United States, but above all I have loved the creative process the most.

Some years ago I started a freelance photography business, primarily shooting weddings and portraits. In 1999 I started a line of cards ... the kind with words. And my words, I am told, have made a difference in people’s lives.

I'm now at the point in my life when most people are starting to wind down, but I feel like I'm just beginning. And if I accomplish nothing else, I hope I am able to cast a little light, in a world, that sometimes feels way too dark.
