At the Grand Re-Opening on First Thursday, February 2, 2023, Art Source Gallery ispleased to introduce four new members. The new location at 1516 W. Grove St. willbe open 5-9 pm, with plenty of free parking on the street. Enjoy the musical stylings of Old Thyme, wine by Indian Creek Winery, and plenty of snacks.
Adeline Forrey
Jeweler Adeline Forrey followed her dream and took a metalsmithing class in NewMexico in 2022. She fell in love with the medium and creates rings, bolos, and otheradornments that capture the intricate shapes and textures of insect wings in silver andsemi-precious stones. “The art just flows out of me when I’m working with silver,” she says.
Nicole Hitchcock
Mixed media painter Nicole Hitchcock uses alcohol inks, metallics, acrylic and resin tocreate peaceful and exciting paintings. Her work may combine collage, texture, and high gloss in the same work. Her goal is to create a positive emotional response for the viewer.
Link Jackson
Montana native Link Jackson has been fly fishing, running rivers, back countryskiing, backpacking and pursuing outdoor adventures with his camera as hisconstant life-long companion. His award-winning photos have appeared in privatecollections, magazines, and galleries, and are frequently references for painting inhis other business, Streamtech Boats. “My art is often weaponized for conservation,” he says, and his work has also won several awards.
Mike Shipman
Following a career in the wildlife field, Mike Shipman became a full-time photographer in 2004. Since 2010, Mike has been an Idaho Commission on the Arts Teaching Artist and on the advisory board for the photography program at Timberline High School. His artwork is rooted in understanding of natural processes that inform sensory perceptions—using techniques as varied as cyanotype, Polaroid, and smartphone. His subjects are “whatever interests me, although my tendency is towardnature/landscape/environmental subjects or concepts with a conservation theme.”
