Bruce Tarbet is a Boise-based photographer who creates bold, dramatic forms to create graphic, emotional and playful images.
He’s intrigued by patterns of color, shape and light: sun rays through a thicket of willows; cathedrals reflected in puddles; the weather-bleached limbs of a downed pine. His interest in photography began during high school with film cameras and processing, and continues today with his transition to digital cameras and technology.
His life experience has been shaped by being a husband, father of two sons and careers in publishing, sales and event advertising. He enjoys traveling the world, being active in the outdoors as a hiker and fly fisher.
One of his greatest personal accomplishments was walking, with his wife Diane, the Camino de Santiago, a 500 mile pilgrimage by foot across northern Spain.
Raised in Moscow, Idaho. he has lived in, and been influenced by, the magnificent Pacific Northwest his entire life..
