Zella
Bardsley is a mixed metals sculptor residing in Boise, Idaho.
Her themes are ecofeminist in nature, often celebrating the female form
in connection with nature or her surroundings. Utilizing an oxygen/acetylene
torch, plasma torch and MIG welder, Zella uses primarily recycled metals
in her work. She has been the recipient of several large scale
public art projects in Idaho as well as art commission grants to produce
exhibitions such as: Women of Steel and Women
Making Waves celebrating contemporary women artists currently making
history in their work. Zella is also the visual arts chair for
the annual Celebration of Women in the Arts, benefitting the
Women's Crisis Center in Boise, which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary
this year. She is represented by Art Source Gallery, Picture This,
215 N. 5th, Ashton's Fine Art, Eagle and Chinden Roads, Crone's Cupboard,
3601 Overland in Boise, Mystic Vine, 327 N. Oregon, Ontario, and Eagle
Rock Art Museum, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and several other area galleries.
