Life is great according to the artist whenever she is painting. I have found that my artistic endeavor is just a swish of the paintbrush and my blood starts to flow and I feel like singing. It's so exciting when I see the paint flow and the images take form. I feel that the artist is only a tool for recording history in our life and how we portray it is such a personal thing that each artist has something different to say. This always manifests itself when you see the color, the subject matter, or the feeling that the artist portrays in their work. My life was spent on a farm when I was young and then on a dairy farm with my husband for the last 42 years. It has influenced the way I see a sunset and how the sun feels on my skin or when the wind blows, how it feels to make me warm or cool. By living in Idaho, I have been surrounded by the mountains and the ever changing weather that we have. I have been painting most of my life and have been awarded many honors with my paintings. My art has been chosen for many collections, both public and private. I am basically a self taught artist and have been very busy with the art community for the last 30 years.
