The Art Source Gallery is proud to announce the launch of Roberta W. Chism's much anticipated Northwest Waterways paintings created for her one-woman fine art exibition during November, 2005. Roberta's captivating images project both motion and a quiet stillness that express the timeless grandeur and natural beauty of Idaho's rivers, creeks and lakes, such as "The Clearwater River". The water's journey is like life, full of motion and energy, yet moving with the flow around obstacles in its path toward an unknown destination. Roberta has a passion to express herself through painting; each image is just one expression of her deepest emotional connection in painting water scenes. These waterscapes bring past memories of growing up in the Northwest -- playing, fishing, and observing the water's different moods. She hopes to evoke an emotional response from the viewer by touching a similar memory.
